The blonde Hmong of Vietnam



Not too many people know about the Miao/ Hmong, a beautiful people said to be descended from a legendary figure and king named Chiyou who lived during the age of the Three  Sovereigns and Five Emperors (all of whom were demi gods and sage kings and culture heroes) and fought the leader and king of the Huaxia Han Chinese, the Yellow Emperor, at the Battle of Zhuolu.
They migrated from Northeastern China into Continental South East Asia and are today settled in Yunnan, other parts of Southern China, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.


Even though most Hmong are darkhaired, there is a significant number of Hmong whose hair is of a bright yellow blonde color which in some cases stays that way into adulthood.

It may be albinism, it may not, but in any case blonde and red hair among Mongols isn't uncommon
